SFTP – Secure File Transfer Protocol
SFTP is an SSH-based secure file transfer option used in many EDI and B2B scenarios. It is often selected when partners prefer scheduled file exchange, straightforward operations and familiar infrastructure tooling.
Why it is used
SFTP is broadly supported, relatively easy to manage and well suited to batch-oriented integrations. In practice it is a common choice where secure delivery is required but AS2-specific features such as MDN receipts are not mandatory.
